Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly News Letter. There was a great response to last week's topic "The Octopus". Well done to everybody who entered. Here are the winning flipnotes.
In this first entry by Victor a squid is using camouflage and squirting ink to hide.
What do you do if you get a squid stuck to your face? Check out this flipnote by Täffy to see the best course of action, and watch out for the ink, XD.
We couldn't believe our eyes with this entry by Mippness. It's an Octopus riding a skateboard! And he's great at tricks.
This beautifully animated flipnote by 😑ま Hope ま😑 shows us the friendship between a giant squid and a mermaid.
A lovely day at the beach is ruined by the sudden attack of a giant spinning Monster Octopus, in this entry by Scribble. We totally loved it! : D
A cool little octopus swims gracefully through the water, in this flipnote by ToxicTiger. We really loved the great oct-sound effect.
We were really delighted by this puzzling weekly topic Octo-gram flipnote by Lukarikid.
This hilarious entry by MetalSonic shows the danger of telling octopus jokes while at sea.
With eight arms, this octopus can communicate and multi-task at great speed. We loved all the gestures and snap expressions in this flipnote by T-RIP-T, very nicely done.
This week's topic is Cave Men. Long after the dinosaurs became extinct man-kind evolved. Early man was a hunter-gatherer who lived in caves and learned how to make fire. There's lots of other interesting aspects of cave people to inspire your flipnotes. For example, their cave paintings, what we know about how they lived, the tools they made, the weapons they used to hunt with, and the animals who lived along side them, for example the Wooly Mammoth and the Saber-tooth Tiger. The cartoon shows 'The Flintstones' and 'Captain Caveman' could be fun for inspiration, and many films have been made on the subject. 'One Million Years BC' and '2001 a Space Oddessy' are two of my favourites. We really love the way your all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the flipnotes you create for them. Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel, and the deadline for your entries is the 30th of July. Keep on flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
