Hey there everyone, Sudofox here with the Weekly News Letter. We were so happy to see all of your fond memories of Flipnote Hatena this week, and we're glad to introduce some of our favorites!
In terms of schedules, we might be shifting the Weekly Topics one day forward -- so that the Weekly News is posted on Mondays. We'll announce the final plan soon. We'll also be working on bringing back DeepRising, our long-term Weekly News writer, who we'd like to thank for the excellent job he's done.

It's time for 2019, but let's look back on our favorite memories, memes, and moments of 2018 with this week's topic, "MMXVIII (2018)". Submissions are due at 11:59 PM Eastern on Sunday, January 6th, 2019.

Sudomemo Help Center
Sudomemo's been reopened, and we're very excited to see all of the new Flipnotes coming in. We're glad to announce the new Sudomemo Help Center, a section of Sudomemo Theatre which will have articles on how to use Sudomemo and Flipnote Studio. We're looking forward to your suggestions on articles to write: Just visit https://support.sudomemo.net/article-suggestions to send one in!
Share Your Flipnotes
As Sudomemo picks up again, we want to encourage you to share your Flipnotes, and the ones you like the most, outside of Sudomemo with your friends! If you weren't aware, we have a URL shortener with a fun name for this purpose: https://flipnot.es
Visit that site for a guide on how to use the URL shortener, or link to your Flipnotes by putting the Flipnote ID (found in your Flipnote details) in the URL like so:
Upcoming New Features
We have some new features being worked on which you should see in the next month or two!
- Sudomemo Theatre views will be counted in with regular views on Sudomemo. This is not yet the case, but this is one of the first things on the list!
- Sudomemo Theatre will allow you to browse Flipnotes by channel.
- We plan on improving our ranking to more fairly rank Flipnotes that are start trending, even if they were not posted recently. You may see old Flipnotes popping up if they get popular again.
- We are considering what would be involved in username changes that still permit accountability (e.g a username history, or common "Sudomemo ID".)
- We are working on making our moderation and support structure more efficient - thank you for your patience!
