Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly Newsletter and Weekly Topic competition.

We had a great response to last week's topic “2021, The Year Just Gone”, and a selection of our favorite winning entries are coming up.

But first, don’t miss this great YouTube video “Sudomemo Rewind 2021” that we've just recently posted.

It features many Flipnotes created in 2021, as well as fascinating interviews with creators.

It really is a must see!

Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "2021, The Year Just Gone"

We’re delighted to celebrate the start of this New year Topic with two winning Flipnote compilations from the year 2021.

The first of the two is a wonderful Flipnote montage by Nova.

Featuring the recent Club Solid Vs Club Liquid Sudomemo War, and a host of other great Flip clips from across the year, the montage is scored with Auld Lang Syne as the perfect New Year musical accompaniment.

Our second equally nostalgic Flipnote compilation, by Adam is both action packed and characterful, and rocks to the beat of “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”.

Another really cool choice of music that represents all of our efforts with our Flipnote endeavors.

Nothing can possibly go wrong, when Wacky and his many cartoon chums celebrate the New Year with an utterly enormous firework, in our next riotous topic winner by Jake.

As the saying goes, blink and you’ll miss it!

This is exactly what happens to the year 2021, in this time flying, hilarious Flipnote by SwordL.

skipper is wearing a Flipnote Frog fancy dress costume to see in the New Year in this topic winning entry.

We think it’s splendid. But the actual Flipnote Frog, who is also at the party is not too impressed, as it will seem that they’ve both come dressed in the same outfit! "Chuckle."

There’s some very expressive number-character animation, as 2021 becomes 2022, in this charming weekly topic winner by JoseFigueC.

This Weeks Topic - "Winter Games"

This week's topic is both frosty and fun!

Your Flipnotes could include any of the classic, competitive winter sports like ice-hockey, skiing, sledding, as well as the ones you play at home, like snowball fights, ice sliding and snowman building.

But feel free to try any other sport you like, but have it played in winter instead!

And here’s another idea!

Why not create your entries in the style of a video game?

A Sudo-Flipnote game!

It could be like Wi-Sports, an FPS snowball fight, or a sonic style downhill ski run.

It’s entirely up to you.

Don’t forget your mittens and warm boots, and start making a winter game Flipnote today!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Winter Games and the deadline for your entries is January 9th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

Also, we would encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
