Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Tunnels And Passageways"

In our first winning selection this week, ian smith has put himself inside his very own topic tunnel!

Mixing photo imports, for his character, with hand drawn animated backgrounds, he rockets along the tunnel at lightning speed.

But wait, there’s an error with the jetpack! And crashing out in true cartoon style, he’s dragged off once again by the malfunctioning contraption.

We really enjoyed both the acting and the editing here, that includes angle cutting with line wipes, and a brilliantly terrified look to camera.

What a ride!

When a war and a mountain divide two lovers, perhaps a secret tunnel is the answer, in this topic winning MV by Meggo.

Sung and accompanied by Kermit the frog playing banjo, the storytelling involves an impressive battle illustration and a smooth animated mountain draw.

OC Captain discovers a mysterious tunnel in this surreal topic winner by DIO.

But what will he find in the darkness?

Using black and white paper color for inside and outside of the tunnel creates the setting nicely. Along with the scribble shading technique, which really packs a punch for the character’s reaction.

The feeling of falling through pipes and tunnels is created beautifully in this haunting Flipnote by Lola.lpcm.

When a drill fails while boring deep into the earth, the outcome is literally a tunnel to nowhere, in this Weekly Topic winning entry by PaulRushed.

This Weeks Topic - "Swerving And Skidding"

Swerving and skidding are actions most associated with vehicles on the road or a racetrack.

From a speedway or a drag car strip, to a dirt bike scramble or an action car chase, these could all include sharp swerving turns, handbrake slides, wheel spin starts, and skid screeching to a halt.

Your Flipnotes could be about vehicles swerving and skidding, or any other subject you like;

Skidding objects, swerving cartoon characters, or racing OCs. They can all yield to momentum and leave smoke and dust in their tracks!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Swerving And Skidding and the deadline for your entries is January 15th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
