And now, our winning Flipnotes from last week’s Topic “Suspense“.

Well done to everyone who entered.

If your nerves can handle it, Kip invites you on a truly nerve jangling journey, deep down, to what hides in the darkness of the cellar!

Spectacularly rendered with intense shadow and light, curving shapes, and strong line-boil, the eerie suspense is heightened yet further with thrilling music and rumbling thunder, all leading to a trapdoor-reveal and a welcome surprise!

Soup and suspense are both on the menu in this table-manners free Topic winner by Mario209.

The hilarious Soldier and Demo sure know about good eats! And boy oh boy, they can certainly put it away!

However, the heebie-jeebies really start to set in, when it comes time to settle the bill!

What hidden mysteries lie beyond “The Suspenseful Door” in this high-tension Topic winning Flipnote by Hi5?

Using sound and cinematic techniques, such as musical-stings, letter-boxing, and skew-angled views, works the audience up to a frenzy of anxiety, before dropping them flat with a well timed comedy punchline!

A button that must not be pushed is the suspense fueling device in this Topic winning entry by D@ni.

We loved the sense of building trepidation achieved through echoing vocal effects, and unnerving character views. Which switches quickly to a sense of relief upon the arrival of a surprise kit-box!

What a stroke of luck!

But is there a shock in the box yet to come?

This Week's Topic - "Flipnote Thumbnails"

This Topic is all about the Thumbnail pictures of Flipnotes.

A Flipnote-Thumbnail is the single page image that represents a Flipnote in your DSi folders, and also on Sudomemo.

This image is taken from the page you are on when you save the Flipnote.

And it’s a good idea to choose an interesting image to use, or even create an especially detailed, and colorful one, so as to draw attention to your Flipnote, and encourage people to watch it.

This Topic would include Flipnotes with Thumbnail Pictures, as well as any aspect of Flipnote Thumbnails you like.

For example: The choosing of a Thumbnail page, the making of a Thumbnail image, or the differences between a Thumbnail on the Flipnote page, as opposed to how it looks in your DSi folders, on DSi Sudomemo, or on the Sudomemo Website!

How about creating a magnificent title page with a related animation, or a highly detailed single frame from within an animation. Or perhaps something more experimental!

Really study those Flipnote Thumbnails, and show us what you've learn't!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Flipnote Thumbnails and the deadline for your entries is February the 23rd (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes, to highlight any details you’d like us to feature in our winner reviews.

Tip: The frame you save your Flipnote on will become the thumbnail, so choose your favorite or add a title page!

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
