And now, our winning Flipnotes from last week’s Topic “Flipnote Thumbnails“.

Well done to everyone who entered.

A beautifully shaded, and colorful landscape background provides the Thumbnail for this Alaskan gold rush MV by aceford360.

Composed of a sequence of equally detailed illustrations, brought to life with drifting camera moves, the creator has chosen the frame with the song title on it to best represent the Flipnote.

Notesferatu is quite the artist!

Although, his natural flamboyance can’t help but take center stage, even over his own Thumbnail masterpiece in this waggish, and supremely posed character animation by Kip.

We also greatly enjoyed the inclusion of the scrapped frames at the end of the Flipnote. They give a fascinating insight into it's making!

In this unnerving Topic winner by Mini Troop, doing the opposite to a series of Flipnote Thumbnail instructions results in the activation of a hidden musical phenomenon that simply refuses to be kept down!

An embarrassing sneeze at just the wrong moment, ruins the photograph for the Thumbnail of this real-time Profile Character illustration by nin2ds.

Has anybody got a handkerchief?

This wonderfully literal take on the Thumbnail picture by Gasmanic involves a nail gun, and a certain digit!

Without thinking too painfully about it, can you guess which one it could be!

In this Topic winning tutorial, Hi5 breaks down the process behind creating their signature Flipnote Thumbnails, as well as providing some very useful tips.

This Weeks Topic - "Fake News"

The term Fake News relates to “news articles that are intentionally, and verifiably false, and designed to manipulate people’s perceptions of real facts, events, and statements.”

It can be surprisingly successful at influencing public opinion, however ludicrous the claims, and has been dishonestly used to make money through advertising.

Some examples of Fake News include stories denying the invasion of the Ukraine, vaccinations being used to implant micro-chips, and undermining the seriousness of global warming.

Your Flipnotes could feature Fake News stories, and their effects in any way you choose.

Why not create your own outrageously phoney Fake news about recent global, and online events.

Or alternatively, imagine Fake News in fantasy worlds, like computer games, cartoons, and your own Sudomemo, Flipnote stories, using fictional characters and OCs.

However you decide to hoodwink your audience, start hoaxing up a Topic entry today!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Fake News and the deadline for your entries is March 2nd (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes, to highlight any details you’d like us to feature in our winner reviews.

Tip: The frame you save your Flipnote on will become the thumbnail, so choose your favorite or add a title page!

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
