March 5th, 2017:Sudomemo Weekly News

Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly News Letter. There was a great response to last week's topic "Sculpture". Well done to everybody who entered. Here are the winning Flipnotes.

Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Sculpture"

In this first entry by caroline<3 a sculpture of a man forms out of a ball of clay. It's "Clay Man"!

Stone sculptures can be big and very heavy. An artist should always take care when working on such heavy projects, as we see here in this entry by Marvel inc.

Machelangelo said that "Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it". This is just the case in these next two entries:

The first one by LonelyFoxz

And the second one by Evening

We loved the competitive spirit of the two young sculptors in this next Flipnote by ☆HaloStar☆. But what do they both choose to sculpt?

In this next flipnote by Lukarikid an artist has taken motivation to it's very limit......... Be the marble!

The surreal relationship between an artist and their subject is explored in this amazing Flipnote by 99th Dream. We really loved the clever twist too.

This Weeks Topic - "Cycles"

This week's topic is Cycles. That would include cycles of movement and sound. Your entries could feature things that go round and round like wheels, cogs and machines, or it could be figures in action, like walk and run cycles. It could also be abstract shapes, moving and distorting for example. It could be anything you can think of, as long as it plays in a continual cycle, animating back to its start point to play again.

(Please set your entries to 'Play as a cycle' before submitting them, thank you.)

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them. Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel, and the deadline for your entries is the 12th of March. Keep on flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
