But first here's a piece of news.

Sudomemo Overhaul

Just to let you know, we've recently been working on overhauling the backend of the Sudomemo service. So if anyone sees a bug that wasn't there before, then they should feel free to mention it.

OK, back to the topic.

And now, here are the winning Flipnotes from last week's topic "Elevators".

Well done to everyone who entered.

Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Elevators"

A friend plays the legendary Elevator Game in this topic winning entry by Necucyaolt.

After visiting numerous floors, each one more crazy than the last, they finally push the button and head for home.

But here’s where the trip takes a turn for the dark side….

Mario gets stuck, not in a drain pipe, but in a hotel lift in this topic winning Flipnote by By Luciano.

Beautifully animated at speed 7, it features a skillful sprite performance, a cut-away elevator shaft, and world shaking calamitous effects.

All in all, he should probably have taken the stairs!

In this topic winning Flipnote by Mario209 Nick and Francis can’t push the lift button fast enough before their annoying friend Ellis turns up and spoils their elevator fun!

In the proceeding agonizing journey to their next floor, we see just exactly why they were so desperate!

In an extreme case of “Like father, like son”, Wacky’s Dad takes a meddlesome elevator joy-ride in this topic winner by Jake.

Supposedly heading for the 14th floor, he manages to push every button on the control panel, before finally arriving at quite a different destination!!!

Superman’s alter-ego Clark Kent leaves quite a stink when he uses the lift at The Daily Planet’s headquarters in this fantastically flatulent Flipnote by geezer.

Maybe his name should be Pooperman!

Based on personal experience, jeekies tells the story of what can happen when a lift malfunctions, plunging you into darkness.

Maybe a cell phone light could help save the day……..Or perhaps it could prove even more of a shocker!

Xenon408 demonstrates one of many Dumb Ways To Die when their profile character activates a Party Mode in an elevator.

Now that’s an awfully risky way to celebrate. Because if they’re not careful, they could get themselves in a bit of a jamboree!

Using visual techniques including cursor control and facial display, SilyElixir takes us on a 3-D elevator ride that is truly out of control!

"But there must be an emergency button somewhere!"

"No, wait, Aaaaaaaaarrgghh!!!"

This Weeks Topic - "Applause"

When an audience shows their appreciation, they clap their hands giving a round of applause.

If they’re particularly impressed, they’ll give a standing ovation and even call for an Encore.

Applause is given for any number of live performances including theater, opera, music concerts, and speeches and awards, to name but few.

Any of these would be an ideal subject for an applause Flipnote. But here’s a thought. Why not break with tradition and have applause for the most unexpected or mundane of things.

With the creative possibilities of the Flipnote sound banks, it could be great fun to play around with the viewer’s expectations.

However you decide to get your applause, we look forward to giving your entries a standing ovation.

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Applause and the deadline for your entries is April the 9th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
