Spring 2023 Sudomemo F.F.C. - Flipnote Fight Competition

It's time to battle!

We're proud to announce the very first Flipnote Fight Competition!

This competition, hosted by Sudomemo in association with Hyun's Dojo, is your chance to shine as a stick fighter!

Bring your very best, and have your stick warriors at the ready, because there's serious prizes to be won!

Swords, sorcery, or fisticuffs, it's any weapon you like. And the more explosive, camera shaking destruction you can reign, the better.

Show off your skills and battle it out in our Flipnote Fight Competition!

Our panel of judges are ready to be amazed by your creativity and originality in Stick Fight animations.

We'd like to welcome our guest judges: Hatena360, Hyun, Sopple, DaSassyOwl, and Oxob!

Guidelines:

Here are some guidelines to keep in mind. We'll be paying attention to these things during judging.

1. Focus on smooth and anticipatory animation.

2. Be creative and original with your ideas.

3. Aim for impressive and satisfying effects.

4. Ensure action flows seamlessly between movements.

5. Make stick figure resizing logical.

6. Mimic realistic human movements when appropriate.

7. Create animations that are easy for viewers to understand.

8. Sync action with music beats, if applicable.

9. Keep track of your left and right legs and arms!

10. Avoid common beginner mistakes like missing body parts or unrealistic movements.

Full of dynamic, drifting movements and crisply timed effects, the punchline hits home with a spot-on comeback from Granny herself.

Lazy grabbers beware!

Showcasing loads of amazing squash and stretch animation, a hapless rat is grabbed by a Grumpy Gus in this topic winning Flipnote by jonah1.

But awww, the little chap’s so adorable……Let’s hope it’s for a piece of cheese eh!

When a stick man wants to grab a bite to eat, his reach stretches all the way through a trilogy of modern, classic Flipnotes before attaining its goal, in this fast-foodie topic winner by Soupersoup.

Mmmm, those Macdoodle burgers do look so delicious!

Including squash and stretch, as well as whip-lash motion, a hungry snake finds a fruity treat in this topic winning entry by Jordan XL.

We loved this creator’s resolve, as mentioned in the description, to focus on specific animation techniques when making a Flipnote.

What a wonderful way to take on a topic!

A Grab Bag is always very tempting.

But what if it’s full of something other than goodies and treats! As this curious stick man can attest, in this winning topic Flipnote by BreadGuy™.

Checkout this acrobatic grab animated by ★MiSTeR-L☆.

The stick man plucks the square mid somersault in an audacious display of gymnastic prowess.
