Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Robots"

Hi-tech robot warriors activate a dazzling array of internal weaponry in this Weekly Topic winning Flipnote by MⒶZOkidox.

Using quick-release panels, as well as sliding, flipping, and spinning parts, the animation is punchy, dexterous, and highly intricate, creating the effect of complex machinery operating at fantastic speeds.

The only question that remains, is who will be victorious in this Robot War?

A self assembly robot kit proves extremely difficult to construct in this mechanical Topic winning tale created by Drake Star.

Told with voice assist dialogue, and hilarious supporting comedy bits, like the shop assistant who hates their job, we follow the action from store to home, where a series of ‘cartoon cloud’, motion blur builds ends in a robot that literally hits the comedy punch-line!

The world's smallest robot builds the world's newest smallest robot in this ironic parody commercial Flipnote presented by Scratchy.

Under the waggish company name of TECH-tech the advert is delivered with great bravado and a tongue in cheek wit that really gave us a giggle.

A police MechaBot experiences a bizarre short circuit in this highly detailed Topic winning animation by Cosmirage.

Beautifully drawn and shaded, the Flipnote includes music at breakneck pace, special-pencil drawn spark FX, as well as a concerned gang of motorized pals!

From constructional lines and a mechanical pincer, to shade, color, and a glass-domed head, the zany “Robot Jones” finds form upon the page in this fabulous animated drawing by toki.

This Weeks Topic - "Photoshopping"

The term Photoshopping, or photoshopped means to alter a digital image with editing software to distort its reality, often for deceptive purposes.

These images could be practically anything. But a common use is with facial snapshots, which can be adjusted to make them much more appealing;

For example:

Painting out moles, reducing noses, strengthening jaw-lines, slimming tummies, and widening shoulders to name but few.

And these misleading images can often lead to much ill-deserved swagger, and the confusion of their viewers.

Your Flipnotes could involve any photoshopping ideas, stories, and/or images (hand drawn, or made using photo imports) you can come up with.

They could be beautifying, uglifying, mystifying, or just plain bizarre!

How would you use Photoshop?

Let us know in the form of a Topic Flipnote.

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Photoshopping and the deadline for your entries is May the 12th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
