Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Flipnote Hatena 10th Anniversary"

Mario209 brings home the pure heart ache of the Hatena shutdown with great loss and reminiscence in this tear jerking memorial Flipnote of that melancholy day.

But let’s all hear it for the Flipnote Frog, who, in spite of being shut down, came back to us all through wonderful Sudomemo.

Our next topic winner, by Tacname67 celebrates our froggy friend with a fantastic tribute-statue and a yummy slice of cake.

Also, best wishes to this creator, who’s Birthday, coincidentally, falls on Hatena’s final day!

And here we see the old Hatena frog responding to the praise of a new Sudomemo character, with an extraordinarily convincing piece of lip-synch animation by Tugay Dost.

This incredible Frog even got its very own song in this re-imagining of the Hatena classic, aptly entitled “Frog On Da Floor”, by Voxenl.

We particularly enjoyed it when the spinning frog is joined by the OC in a wonderful moment of cartoon and program processing.

Long live the Flipnote Frog!

To commemorate Hatena’s glory days, CosmicGAZ has recreated an MV, originally made by Hatena creator “nthony”

Featuring Glance and Gaze along with a host of Hatena characters and classic Flipnote references, they all sing-along and perform to the lyrics of the song “Last Friday” by Hoodfellas.

Zowisky fondly remembers the life changing experience of Hatena through wolf character drawing, photo animation, and role-playing Flipnotes.

These all being the favorite Flipnote making activities of this original Hatena creator, back in the day.

This hilarious outburst about the Hatena classic, “The Chicken Wing Song” is brought to us by ⒷIⒷⒷⒶ.

We were very impressed with amazing character animation as well as the spot on timing when alternating between the song and the rant.

Envisioning post-shutdown Hatena as a ghost town of crumbling stars, StickmanⓁⓇ encapsulates that emotional time just beautifully.

This lively MV compilation, by Soupersoup brings together many of Hatena’s greatest hits with a toe-tapping flow that just makes you wanna groove!

Ah, such memories!

This Weeks Topic - "Pollution"

There are many different ways in which we pollute our planet;

In the air, the water, and the land.

These include burning fossil fuels, industrial and car emissions, radioactive waste, oil spills, landfill, litter, and the use of pesticides.

There’s also many ways we can reduce our carbon footprint and save our planet, such as recycling, shopping wisely, water conservation, and using long-lasting light bulbs, electric cars, and sustainable resources.

Make your topic entries about any aspect of pollution and/or how to reduce it that you choose.

It’s a big issue guys, and one we should all be thinking about.

So let’s waste no time, and really clean up with this topic!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Pollution and the deadline for your entries is June 11th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
