Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Sea Monsters"

Off the shores of a stormy island, monsters rove the oceans deep, in this weekly topic winning Flipnote by Zorana.

We were totally blown away by the dramatic animated effects, the creative use of silhouettes, and the host of beastly Pokemon characters here, all of which conclude with an awesome clifftop confrontation between Pokemons Silver and Lugia.

A series of strange ocean sightings culminates in an eye to eye encounter with a dark yet friendly sea monster in this weekly topic winner by Gummi☆.

We loved the fleeting glimpses you get of the creature before it returns beneath the waves, which, as well as creating mystery, builds suspense for its final surprise appearance.

A leisurely swim comes abruptly to a monstrous end, in this weekly topic winning entry by Tugay Dost.

We really enjoyed the squash and stretch animation in the swimming action, as well as the sound effects, and facial expressions for both the characters.

Watson inc shares a fantastic illustrated collection of bizarre, real-world Creatures From The Deep, in this topic winning Flipnote.

Accompanied by in-depth technical details about the underwater animals and their environments, it’s both entertaining and highly informative.

This Weeks Topic - "The Pointing Finger"

A pointing finger is a gesture that can say many things.

For example:

“There it is!”

“Go that way!”

“Look at this”

“It was their fault!”

Along with many other possible directions, hints, and suggestions.

Your Flipnotes could be about any idea or subject you choose, so long as it involves a pointing finger, or pointing in some way.

The pointing could be helpful, informative, deceptive, angry, cheerful, determined, irritating, or jocular.

It's entirely up to you!

There’s as many ways to play it as there are situations a pointing finger could belong!

Why not have fun with it!

So let’s all get to the point, by starting an entry for this topic today!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - The Pointing Finger and the deadline for your entries is July the 2nd (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
