In this wonderfully frenzied Topic winning Spin-off by HALU, the “Sample Flipnote Cat” swaps their skateboard for a Segway, and spectacular hilarity ensues!
The detailed moving background combines with the rider's drift, sway, lurch and bounce to create an incredible feeling of precarious balance and unstoppable momentum as they move along.
Very nicely done indeed!
A cool cartoon Kitty rides a Segway with consummate ease in this fabulous animated cycle created by Joseph.
Using wizz-lines, spin-lines, wind-flutter movement, and line-boil gives a great sense of speed and motion, as well as bringing the character to life!
In a determined attempt to escape the heatwave, Le Poisson Steve follows a trio of personal transporters, bound for the cooling waters of the sea in this wordplay inspired Topic winning animation by Glin.
Tearing through town at full tilt on a hover board seems like the perfect way to let off steam! Until, with one tiny mistake, a good day turns bad in this super-dynamic Topic winning entry by Rice_dsi.
After succumbing to crash-damage on its very first ride, Pineapple Crazy’s Segway is reduced to a hover board in this witty, transport-failing Topic winner by PineCrazy.
In this Topic we want to challenge the artist!
We’d like you to come up with an art style that’s significantly different from your own, maybe one that you’ve seen in different places.
For example: At public art spaces, like galleries, exhibitions, museums, and art studios. Or in other artistic media and mediums such as painting, illustration, sculpture, architecture, advertising and poster art, to name but few.
Use different tools than you would normally use, or different line widths, different shading, different shapes, forms, and methods of expression, or whatever intrigues you most.
Then create your Flipnotes inspired by this new art style.
We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.
Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - New Art Style and the deadline for your entries is July the 13th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).
We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes, to highlight the changes from your usual art style, to the new art style you’ve used, so we can feature them in our winner reviews.
