And now, our winning Flipnotes from last week’s Topic “Punning“.
Well done to everyone who entered.
In our first Topic winning Flipnote, Ydog=] tells a hilarious punning joke with a stick man, a stick devil, and exceedingly expressive lipsynch animation.
Employing thick line character drawing, along with color change and spot-on timing, the joke’s “Misses me” pun-line hits its double meaning with a raucous punchline that puts a very different spin on the tale!
OCs Sans and Papyrus ghoulishly amuse themselves with a skeleton based rib-tickling quip in our next topic winner by Weezer2005.
Rendered in a nice sketching style, with dual character voice-acting, the punny joke concludes with a comedy closer that was an absolute scream!
After drawing inspiration from a learner driving pun, Sonen10 makes an ‘In-flip’ announcement, informing us that their Motor Vehicle Test is now imminent!
It’s definitely a win for the Topic! But here’s hoping for a win-win, on the test as well.
Keep checking those wing mirrors!
Punning “Crocodile tears” with a swimming pool incident, Casjin-Alt has created this tremendous two picture comic strip gag!
The cartoon style has a great flair to it, that we really enjoyed. And includes fully detailed settings with shading, reflections, and lots of fun background character details.
Situation comedies are regular T.V. shows about groups of characters who are involved in different funny situations.
There’s many hilarious and beloved sitcoms from across the years of television.
Here’s some of our favorites you might know:
Friends, Cheers, Frasier, Seinfeld, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Big Bang Theory, Faulty Towers, and Red Dwarf, to name but few.
Your Flipnotes could be inspired by any sitcom you like, and in any way you choose.
Why not create your very own sitcom with a cast of Original characters.
Or here’s a cool idea we came across!
Record a scene, or piece of dialogue from your favorite sitcom, and then animate your Flipnote along to the audio.
Check out the Seinfeld animations (Seinimations) in this Youtube video link to see what we mean:

However you decide to situate your comedy, chuckle us a laugh, and start a Topic Flipnote today!
We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.
Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Sitcoms and the deadline for your entries is August the 3rd (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).
We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes, to highlight any details you’d like us to feature in our winner reviews.
Tip: The frame you save your Flipnote on will become the thumbnail, so choose your favorite or add a title page!
Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
