July 28th, 2019: Sudomemo Weekly News - Topic: Fairy Tales

Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly News Letter. There was a great response to last week's topic "Fairy Tales". Well done to everybody who entered. Here are the winning Flipnotes.

Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Fairy Tales"

Our first selection this week, by Kêithkash★, is this enchanting tale about a Princess with a huge wart! XD. We loved the wacky, randomness of the ideas, and the lip-sync'ed animation with the voice acting works beautifully.

Sad about the villagers eh! That's must be some wart!

Our next entry, by LALA®, features a fairy hovering in a shaft of light. What a beautiful animated drawing. Great job.

In this hilarious take on a classic fairy tales, by ☆ KⒶden ☆, Rapunzel is asked to let down something other than her hair........ Gross XD!

We're loving the comedy style and great voice acting here. Fantastic!

See if you can name the six classic Fairy Tales illustrated in this challenging Flipnote, by woffyReal. The illustrations are accompanied with abbreviations of the Tales in question. Great fun :D

It's Jack and the Bean Stalk, at lightening speed. This fantastic entry, by CyberLarva, tells the tale brilliantly with multiple quick shots, and a great end picture. It was instantly recognizable. Nice one!

Once upon a time, there was this really dumb King! It's the perfect opening to a Fairy Tale. We were rolling around the floor with laughter at this degenerating tale of silliness, by Deckers

'That's not how I remembered it!' Is the Tag-line to this amusing entry, by Monstrous. Featuring animating drawing, this familiar Fairy Tale has an unexpected twist, with a hilarious punchline.

In this nicely crafted re-telling of The Three Little Pigs fairy tale, by KevClips☆, is a 'Mine Craft' house the answer to the piggies problem.

This Weeks Topic - "Sideways Flipnotes"

This week's topic is to make a Sideways Flipnote. Turn your DSi, so it's standing on its end. So that your screen is 'Portrait' rather than 'Landscape'. That's how your finished Sideways Flipnote should be viewed.

Make your entries about any subject you want, so long as the Flipnote is on its side. We'll be looking for Flipnotes that exploit this new orientation, using the space in imaginative and creative ways.

Feel free to try animating on the side too, when your making your Flipnote. We'd be interested to know how easy or difficult that was.

Check out this Flipnote by GameRat101 (Search- 14LJQX) as a great example of what we mean by a Sideways Flipnote.

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them. Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel, and the deadline for your entries is August the 4th- (12pm EST / 4pm GMT). Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
