Shrek is a 2001 animated comedy film loosely based on the 1990 children’s picture book of the same name by William Steig.
Starring the Ogre Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Fiona, as well as a host of other fairy tale characters, it’s one of the favorite CGI animated movies of all time!
