Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Knitting"

From fresh grass, to sheep’s wool, then spun yarn, and finally CAKE!!!

Our first topic winning selection this week, by FIotaga, follows the process of how woolen yarn is made from its earliest stage, to a final outlandish usage.

The animation is beautifully expressive with character and detail, and is accompanied by an entertaining mix of well chosen sound effects.

We especially loved seeing the needles knitting the loops for the fabric of the woolen cake one line at a time, in a complex and perfectly executed shot.

Very nicely done indeed.

But you’re probably right. Don’t eat it! “Giggle”

Uh-Oh!

Wacky’s equally crazy sister has decided to take up knitting in our next Topic winner by Jake.

Usually a quiet and restful past-time, Jacky’s knitting is anything but!

Watch as her scarf goes on a woolly rampage, causing chaos with the whole family, and leaving an enraged Wacky wrapped from head to toe, with some extremely angry words for his Sis.

It’s an OC family Knit-Down in this wonderfully shaded and colorful topic winning entry by JoseFigueC.

The detailed animation of the knitting needles and yarn work perfectly together as the gang fabricates a hat, a scarf, and a wooly jumper.

Mum looks very pleased, and they’ll be lovely and warm too.

StickmanⓁⓇ has created a very convincing knitting action for his profile character in this Weekly Topic Winner.

Look at him go!

He hasn’t dropped a single stitch!

This Weeks Topic - "Scooby - Doo"

The inspiration for this week’s topic is “Scooby-Doo”!

First broadcast in 1969 as a Saturday morning cartoon, each episode features the Mystery Machine solving shenanigans of a teenage gang composed of Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and their talking Great Dane Scooby-Doo.

These adventures would often involve creepy supernatural hoaxes, and all sorts of hilarious antics and missteps by Scoobs and the gang.

Hugely popular, it spawned countless other series through to the present day, along with animated and live action movies, as well as many computer games.

Your Flipnotes could be about any aspect of the Scooby-Doo franchise you like (Including Scrappy Doo).

You could have a go at drawing the characters, create your own animations with them, make you Ocs into a Scooby-Doo style gang, score your Flipnotes with sound tracks from the show, and don’t forget all the great catchphrases:

“Zoinks”, “Jinkies”, “Creepers”, and ”Hold the Phone!”

Also, here’s a link to a video clip of the original Scooby-Doo opening credits sequence (Including the theme music).

So let’s all grab a Scooby-snack, followed by our styluses and start making a Scooby topic entry today.

. We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Scooby-Doo and the deadline for your entries is September the 4th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
