Hey there everyone, DeepRising here with the Weekly News Letter. There was a great response to last week's topic "Venus Flytrap". Well done to everybody who entered. Here are the winning flipnotes.
In our first entry, by WolfyBlaze, a lucky butterfly has a narrow escape. We giggled our socks off at the Venus flytrap, as it impatiently awaits it's meal. It must be having one of those days. :(
We loved the chomping action of the Venus flytrap in this flipnote by ♪Jazzy♪.
Check out the moves on this carnivorous plant as it pursues its prey. There's great fluidity of movement and three dimensionality to this entry by ～Z-6.
There's a splendid snap to the movement in this very nicely animated flipnote by Sh41.
We were very impressed with this animation block out of a scene from " Little Shop of Horrors" by Alice Lace. The drawings are fantastic, and Audrey the giant carnivorous plant looks super cool and scary. We totally understand why this flipnote wasn't finished in time for the weekly topic, and we'd like to encourage you to finish, maybe just a part of it, as fully animated flipnotes of this calibre are just what we're looking for to feature. :D
This delightful entry by Ⓑronze tells the story of purchasing a carnivorous potted plant from a supermarket. What a wonderful idea. :)
This week's topic is Muscles. All animals, including humans use muscles to move. Muscles work in pairs, contracting and relaxing to move limbs. Lifting heavy weights requires big muscles and great strength, where as long distance runners need smaller muscles that can keep going for a long time. So body-builders and marathon runners train their muscles for very different results. Animals are usually well muscled for their life style. Horses have huge leg muscles to make them run fast, birds use muscles to flap their wings for flight, and their's even a muscular beetle named after the body builder and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger because of it's physique (Agra-Schwarzeneggeri). Check it out on line, it's one cool looking beetle. We really love the way your all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the flipnotes you create for them. Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel, and the deadline for your entries is the 10th of September. Keep on flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
