Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Shaun The Sheep"

Counting sheep to get to sleep is the subject of this Topic winning Flipnote by JoseFigueC.

Accurately drawn and viewed with a panoramic camera move, there are fifteen sheep in all, including, not only Shaun and his flock, but a variety of rams, lambs, and ewes created in numerous cartoon styles ranging from Pokemon and Kirby to The Simpsons.

What a line-up!

Even Blitzer the sheep dog makes an appearance, when he ticks their sleepy-time mission a resounding success on his trusty clipboard.

In a sheep-like twist on the game musical statues, Shaun the sheep shows off his mischievous side in this hilarious Topic winner by SilyElixir.

We laughed out loud at the single frame cheeky pose-pops in time with the music, which, infuriatingly for the farmer, always seem to occur just when his back is turned!

A couple of curious investigators consider the possibilities of what a sheep is actually saying, in this Topic winning entry by Soupersoup.

The character dialogue is very well performed, as is the bleating sound effect.

We also loved the idea of the sheep translator. Now that sounds like a fascinating piece of technology!

A comical reaction to Shaun The Sheep is brought to life with a giggle and a Flipnote in this Weekly Topic winning entry by Antoniogw.

A frolicking flock of sheep lays down a groovy vibe, in this topic winning Flipnote by Aaron G.P.

Keeping in rhythm with well timed bobbing movements, the wooly gang sings along to the lyrics of a catchy sheep based theme tune;

“Beep beep I’m a sheep”

Shaun The Sheep’s distinctive sideways opening mouth bleats splendidly in this Weekly Topic animation by paulmarker.

It's very true to character, and nicely done indeed!

This Weeks Topic - "Escalators - The Moving Staircase"

An escalator is a moving staircase that you step onto to travel from floor to floor.

Usually found in apartment stores they give the shopper a welcome break, especially when loaded down with purchases.

But we reckon there’s some Flipnote fun to be had with them too!

Have you ever seen someone walking the wrong way on an escalator?

Or someone too afraid to get on or off one?

After all, where do all the steps go?!

Answering these and other important questions in the form of a Flipnote could well be the way to a winning Topic entry.

Just be careful! And take it one step at a time!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Escalators - The Moving Staircase and the deadline for your entries is September 10th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
