And now, back to the Weekly Topic. Here are the winning Flipnotes from last week's topic "Halloween". Well done to everybody who entered.

Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Halloween"

Our first selection for this week's Halloween Topic is an absolute treat! 20110 has created a perfectly choreographed Stickman dance rendition of Michael Jackson's Thriller. Wow, what a fantastic idea!

With carefully observed dance moves, and poses, performed accurately with the music, the stick trio are really put through their paces.

We were glued to the screen, and just couldn't stop watching it!

There's a veritable horde of spine-chilling visitors, all making an appearance, in this beautifully animated MV, by Puchi.

We were delighted with the array of different movements and techniques to bring the characters in and out of the spooky frame, and all perfectly in time with a great choice of Halloween music.

Our next frightful selection is this spectacular MV, by ⒶCROSSKI, featuring Medusa the Gorgon.

Blending unsettling imagery, with great character design and kaleidoscopic embellishments, it pulses and swirls along beautifully to its sinister sound track.

SwordL had us chuckling in our boots, with this side-splittingly funny, ghost comedy Flipnote. However, the ghost in question is not so amused, when he discovers what his terrified victim is actually afraid of!

This fiendish looking character, created by m ○ r i☆, is clearly out trick or treating on Halloween night. Or at least, we hope he is!

With a moving background, and a nicely animated walk cycle, the action is very convincing. And the creepy design of the character sells the idea perfectly.

Although, something tells us, we wouldn't want to receive a trick from this particular individual!

We really loved the line up of cool looking characters, ready to indulge in a Trick or Treat, Candy Battle Royal with each other, in this toe tapping entry by Nintenbro☆ If only they'd all remembered their costumes. Now that's gonna cost them some candy!

A deal between trick or treaters goes sour, in this delightfully engaging Halloween Night tale, by User.

The visual story telling, music, and sound effects, work exceptionally well together to communicate the idea. And we also loved the character's costumes; A Witch and a Pumpkin-Head! Now those should certainly get the candy in!

[unknown]

This marvelous and bewitching Halloween Flipnote Picture, by estkarrin features a Warlock flying high over a town on his broomstick.

We very much enjoyed the fantasy drawing style, and we're very impressed with the skill and creativity demonstrated in the shading.

It's a big mistake, when a grumpy home owner refuses to give candy to a trick or treater, in this hysterically funny entry by scronin.

The story is nicely told with concise animation, good sound effects, and excellent voice acting. And we laughed out loud at the terrified punch-line shriek!

A Halloween costume scare gets out of hand when it's taken too seriously by the recipient in this highly amusing entry by Strawberry. There's beautiful character drawings, a hilarious sound track, and we loved seeing the fully shaded and colored thumb-nail picture pop up right in the middle, on the scream. Very nicely done indeed!

This Weeks Topic - "Donuts"

On November 5th, it's National Donut Appreciation Day. So this week's topic is all about the donut! Let's celebrate this delicious treat, in the form of a Flipnote.

A donut is a type of fried dough confection, often with a hole in the middle. They can be glazed with a maple or sugar icing, topped with chocolate, or coated with powdered sugar, and can also come pumped full of scrumptious fillings, such as fruit preserves, cream and custard.

Loved by the police force, and also Homer Simpson, the donut is the perfect sweet snack for a coffee break, or a late night binge! Check out these You Tube video links for inspiration on these important matters:

Krispy Kreme donuts are a favourite of mine, and on a related subject, it should be noted that the world record for eating them, is five dozen in under ten minutes. Now that's a lot of donuts! And here's a video link to this World Record (Don't try this at home):

We hope you find these donut facts inspiring for your Flipnotes, and we're smacking our lips in anticipation of you sugary, finger-licking Flipnotes.

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them. Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Donuts and the deadline for your entries is November 8th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT) Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
