Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "The Moon"

When a lost and disoriented Gaze rings up her brother to get directions, she discovers that she is very far from home in this Topic winning Flipnote by CosmicGAZ.

We loved the clever location based humor here when describing her surroundings, like the severe lack of oxygen, and even the American flag, presumably N.A.S.A.s, which all leads to the outlandish punchline reveal when she finally sees the Big Blue Marble in the sky, and realizes that in fact, she is on the moon!

Clefairy the Pokemon reaches an all new level of exuberance when they discover a piece of moon rock in this joyful Topic winner by CerealBowl.

Capturing the character just beautifully with a soft, round drawing style, and a broad, expressive performance, the animation also includes three dimensional poses, motion lines, and a weight shifting wobble that fills it with extraordinary life and energy.

OC “Uncle Mac Mac” makes his starring debut when he crashes disastrously on the moon in this special trailer for an upcoming series by Jake.

Dripping with galactic atmosphere, and the familiar crazy of the Wacky relatives Mac Mac's journeying to meet, we leave him picking up the pieces for now, but determined nevertheless to somehow make it home!

Don’t miss Jake’s new series “The Journey Home”, arriving on Sudomemo, January 2024.

Assist your relaxation with this gorgeous Ocean Moon Ambience created by mrjohn.

Animated with intricate detail and smooth, overlapping movement, the water ripples and reflected moonlight are a picturesque delight. And when played, it loops endlessly with tranquil music and watery sound effects for a thoroughly soothing effect.

Why not download and enjoy it today!

We simply roared with laughter along with this weird and crazy Topic winning story involving an enormous moon by Voxenl.

Overflowing with tongue in cheek humor, along with its top hatted narrator, it features a great cast of other characters as well as some very nice sound and visual effects.

Including both constructional and finished animation, this beautifully drawn, anime style WIP Flipnote by New User follows an emotional conversation that sparks off with a comparison to the moon.

When a stick man throws his friend into the sky, it must be some kind of record, for after landing, he finds himself once again on the moon, in this bizarre and hilarious winning Topic entry by kingwink.

This Weeks Topic - "Sinking"

Did you ever get that sinking feeling?

Blub, blub, blub…..!

This Topic could be about anything at all that sinks.

For example, a boat could easily sink into the ocean. But there’s plenty of other things that could be sunk into; Like quicksand, a swamp, a ball pit, or even the floor if magic is involved!

Feel free to sink anything into absolutely anything!

But here’s an idea you might like to try.

An Idea For This Topic"

1 Using both Flipnote layers, draw your OC on one, and a surface to sink into on the other.

2 Then, with the shoulder button and D-Pad controls, move your character gradually down, frame by frame, erasing it as it passes a surface line (Use trace for this), until it's completely sunk.

3 You could also add bubbles, ripples, and other effects to spice up the action.

However you decide to handle this topic, why not sink your teeth into an entry today!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Sinking and the deadline for your entries is November 19th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes. This is your opportunity to explain any points of interest and specific details that we could feature in the topic winner reviews.

And don't forget, if you want a cool thumbnail picture on your Flipnote, whichever frame you save the Flipnote on, that will become the thumbnail. So choose your favorite frame for this, or add in a cool title page at the end, and save on that.

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
