And now, our winning Flipnotes from last week’s Topic “Motion Blur“.

Well done to everyone who entered.

In the first of our Topic winning Flipnotes, by söderreich, a spectacular stick man sword fight plays host to an incredible variety of impressive motion blur techniques.

We really enjoyed watching the effects in this entry frame-by frame, and so decided to break it down into our favorite parts and bring description to each one.

(Frame numbers included for your viewing reference)

1) Wiz-charge Explosion (Frames 56 - 63)

A flamboyant paintbrush smear, with camera shake and trailing smoke dispersal.

2) Wiz-charge Response (Frames 73 - 90)

A character deformation and paintbrush smear, with an energised smoke cloud transition.

3) Close-up Sword Clash Sequence (Frames 106 - 135)

Includes character movement flow, mixed with blade paintbrush smear, speed-lines, impact clash-forms, and multiple image overlay.

All of these amazing effects can be appreciated so much more with a frame-by-frame viewing.

We hope you enjoy it too!

Our next equally impressive stick man fight animation, created by MⒶZOkidox, features the dualist OC designs “Unknown” and “Zhi Mitchi” from the Hyun Dojo.

Framed as a player P.O.V. Zhi Mitchi activates an extraordinary weapon, which “Stretch-Pops” into firing mode with great visceral energy, before tracking its subject in a high-octane rush of super-dynamic action and ingenious motion blur effects.

Very nicely done indeed!

This R.A.O.P. Motion Blur tutorial by dermo™ covers everything you need to know if you want to use and make classic flipnote Smears (As they are known).

Presented in informative notation, alongside instructional drawings, it takes you on a step-by-step guide through 3 of this creator's favorite techniques;

The Curved Line Blur, the Paintbrush Clone, and the Deformation Smear.

It’s a must read for all action animators!

Working with the bend and release of a solid line, ☆T3nzDⓇⒶw☆ uses both multiple images, and fine speed-lines to create a highly effective whip-spring movement in this final Topic winning animation.

And that concludes last week’s Topic winners.

Now onto this week's Topic description.

This Weeks Topic - "Noisy"

This Topic is all about making noise, noisy things, and all forms of extreme noisiness!

It could be anything from a blaring stereo, a pneumatic drill, or cannon fire, to an air-horn, a screaming baby, or an infuriating car alarm.

And the noisier the better!

Be as noisy as you like in your Flipnotes in any way you choose.

Audio Top Tip:

Here’s a trick to making your Flipnote audio super loud. Simply mix your recorded sound bank repeatedly on the same frame. Just keep tapping “Mix” until you’ve achieved your desired volume. But look out for audio corruption if you go too far!

So let’s all make the noisiest of noises, by starting a Noisy Topic Flipnote today!

We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.

Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Noisy and the deadline for your entries is November the 30th (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).

We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes, to highlight any details you’d like us to feature in our winner reviews.

Tip: The frame you save your Flipnote on will become the thumbnail, so choose your favorite or add a title page!

Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
