And now, our winning Flipnotes from last week’s Topic “Drinking Straws“.
Well done to everyone who entered.
In the first of our Topic winners this week, by adrian☆, a gelatinous bubble of “Boba Pop” takes a spectacular journey through a straw.
Animated using a zip-zoom and racing camera movement, along with great spinning and sparkly effects, the revolutionary liquid pearl transforms with a flurry, upon its release, into the pure thirst quenching joy of the drinker.
In our next Topic winner, by McDoshi domestic computer gaming bliss swiftly takes a turn for the worse with a refreshment break, involving hot coffee and a straw!
Accompanied by an audio track of music, sound effects, and creative vocal-foley, the story punchlines hilariously with a dry joke, and a disastrous beverage-bang!
Skilfully animating their Profile Character’s face, Ⓐ-Train has created this highly effective action of drinking through a straw.
Very nicely done.
And that concludes last week’s Topic winners.
Now onto this week's Topic description.
Fire, or combustion, gives off both smoke and flames.
As the icy cold of winter sets in, a fire can be a warm and comforting relief. But as the chemical reaction of combustion it can also be a dangerous and destructive force.
Your Flipnotes could include smoke and flames in any way, shape, or form you can think of.
How about a crackling fireside, a flaming candle, or a smoking chimney? And on the side of danger, what about a towering inferno, or even a fire breathing dragon?
Also, here’s a fun cartoon idea you might like to try. Why not turn smoke and flames into animated characters? That could be a real challenge!
Whatever you choose to do, test your animating skills to the max by starting a Topic entry today.
We really love the way you're all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the Flipnotes you create for them.
Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel Weekly Topic - Smoke and Flames and the deadline for your entries is December the 21st (12pm EST / 4pm GMT).
We would also encourage you to add a description to your Flipnotes, to highlight any details you’d like us to feature in our winner reviews.
Tip: The frame you save your Flipnote on will become the thumbnail, so choose your favorite or add a title page!
Keep on Flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
