Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Inbetweening For Smooth Animation"

Our first Weekly Topic winning Flipnote this week, by matthieu mixes together a dynamic collection of surreal and abstract animation, along with imported live action fluid motion and rotations for a silky smooth MV.

Featuring an unforgettable metamorphic character from old Hatena, blended seamlessly into the action with exceptional editing and an awesome cycling soundtrack, our minds were totally blown by this epic display of smoothness.

In our next topic winner, by zed.32 an audaciously bizarre skateboarding dude is out for musical spin.

As he pushes his way along with a hilarious full bodied, foot swinging action, the distant, twinkling cityscape flashes synchronously with every note of the complex melody.

What a wonderfully original and inventive idea, animated expertly with smoothness, broadness, precision, and a side splitting comedy character.

The smoothly unnerving performance of the character Miku is executed beautifully along with full lipsynch animation for her dialogue in this web vlog Flipnote created by ⒷIⒷⒷⒶ.

But watchers beware……..She’s zero meters from your location!!!

He he he ha indeed!

Constructional drawing and the use of scribble shading can create wonderfully smooth animation too, as we see in this character showcasing WIP, entitled “The Ruler Of Everything” by j.

Including smooth and snappy movements, the character’s aspects are explored with actions, performance and great visual flare.

We're really looking forward to seeing the finished Flipnote.

A plane races for take off down a rain soaked runway in this aeronautical topic winning entry by kilerbean.

Use of both layers for D-Pad nudged movement and the different colors, as well as the textured pencil and reflective brush work results in smooth movement and a very convincing rain effect.

We loved the energy absorbing puncture action in this winning Topic Flipnote by Pen.

It’s not only smooth, but the speed variation adds a real sense of substance to the subject.
