Our Favorite Flipnotes from last weeks Topic "Christmas"

In our first topic winning selection this week, while making his magical Christmas night sleigh ride, Santa has a very down to earth accident, in this electrifying Yuletide tale entitled “You’d Better Watch Out”, by CosmicGAZ.

We loved the interaction between OCs and Father Christmas here, as well as the use of animation techniques like silhouetting, ghost-tweening, extreme perspective, cartoony distortion and electrical effects.

Our next topic winner, by Pao! celebrates both Christmas and the year just gone with this incredible pixelated animation and winning topic Flipnote.

While leaping from level to level, like the 8-bit games of its inspiration, gifts are given, snowmen are made, and in the end the spirit of Christmas is decisively won!

For this topic winning entry, ✕Cryptive✕ has created a heartwarming animated Christmas montage.

Featuring a well built snowman, a twinkling Christmas tree, and a delicious mug of hot chocolate, the Christmas message comes on the label of a gift at the close.

Beautifully done!

When blessed with a magical hat, a grateful snowman thanks his creator with a gift in this topic winning Flipnote by Creaky.

But unluckily for him, all the presents are around the warm Christmas fireside!

Can you guess what will happen next? “Giggle”

This frosty, toe tapping MV by Momo♥™ is scored by the 1957 Christmas tune Jingle Bell Rock.

With singalong lipsynch, a slew of great characters, colored shading, and dissolving edits, it hits its holiday mark with every jingle and beat.

This merry Christmas dance by IronEren filled us with festive cheer.

Performed by three skillfully animated, fine-line detailed characters, each with their own individual set of actions, the merry jig is accompanied by music from the Legend of Zelda and concludes with a spirited Christmas greeting.

For an epic Christmas you must have an epic Christmas tree! And have we got just the one for you, in this amazing topic winning Flipnote by Sh0rtiot.

But with such a huge tree, how will anyone ever manage to put a star on top?

Visualised brilliantly with a wizz-camera move, dramatic action and editing, and a wide angle fall from on high that made us roar with laughter, it really takes tree decorating to a whole new level!

Wacky and Jacky take on the challenge of gift giving in this topic winning entry by Jake.

And what’s more traditional to give at Christmas than socks!

However, unfortunately for Paula, it’s one of Jacky’s socks she receives, and not only is its fit considerably on the large side, but it's very much in need of a wash.

PEEEEW!!!

Starring a host of fellow creator-profile-characters all celebrating Christmas in their own special way, this joyful MV by mh123 really got us in the festive mood.

Along with many seasonal traditions, both tasty and fun, there’s also some great comedy Christmas ideas such as a human Christmas tree, rooftop sledding, fire-hazard fairy lights, and a blocked up chimney.

Now Santa’s definitely gonna have a problem there!

It’s present opening time for the OCs of JoseFigueC. And what a great collection of gifts they’ve got from each other.

From a Kirby to a Snorlax, and even a partridge in a pear tree, we just loved seeing the wrapping paper ripped away to reveal the surprise inside.

We laughed out loud at the sentiments of the holiday rating stickman in this hilarious Christmas MV by ÇⓇÚ$〒.

Combining great character performance and song lyrics with nicely choreographed transitions and editing, it skips along merrily with spot-on timing and a fun Yuletide comedy theme.

We have to agree, we really don’t hate Christmas either! “Festive giggle”

A hilariously jaded cartoon Santa laments the qualities of a Jingle Bell in this extremely well made satirical animation by ♥SQUIRMLY♥.
