Err... on my 2nd part of the tails smash wall animation i did that too with the white and black outline style while tails was being hit right before the final attack in 3d
But yeah that was with the less tedious ASEPRITE for outlining, respect for the ppl that do it on dsi
You came with this impressive animation just surpassing the part 2 increasing the fluency, movement and good background used. I honestly like the flashes XD I just recomend more effects on hits and clashes. Oh and effects to projectiles when they impacts too.

Little note, as stated under, you can use less frame flashing when their attacks hit or clash
