Our first selection by User shows the build-up of a side kick animation, from sketch, to shading and finally with colour. The movement is very well observed.

We were in stitches over this zany martial arts action mash-up by ReightThen. Yah! Chop! Biff! XD!

In this entry by RazBerry we see the dangers inherent in using Nun Chucks. Even for a cat-master......Me-Ow!

This amazing fight sequence by ZyZa is skilfully animated with motion blur and dynamic poses.

Mustard combines stop-motion and hand drawn animation to create this flipnote. Proving that martial arts and lazers make for a truly powerful warrior.

An exciting chase culminates in an epic martial arts show-down in our next entry by Matt. The odds are stacked, but the 'Spider on the face' illusion potion could well win the day!

It's action all the way in this awesome final selection, by Unknegarkļ¼. The quality of animation is terrific, and we can't wait to see the finished piece, fully coloured and shaded.

This Weeks Topic - "Dragons"

This week's topic is Dragons. These mythical creatures have been breathing fire and terrorising people in world culture for thousands of years. Originally there's two types of dragon. The winged European dragon, as in 'Saint George and the dragon', and the Chinese dragon, which is serpentine and doesn't have wings. The dragons from the world of 'Harry Potter' are great examples to look at. The Hungarian Horntail, the Chinese Fireball, and the Norwegian Ridgeback to name but few. And how about Smaug the dragon, from the book and movie, 'The Hobbit'. He's a talking dragon who loves his treasure, and woe betide anyone who tries to steal it :O. All these types of dragons and many more are viewable on the Internet for inspiration and reference. Or why not make up your own dragon design. We really love the way your all so creative with these topics and look forward to seeing the flipnotes you create for them. Make sure to post your entries to the Weekly Topic channel, and the deadline for your entries is the 21st of January. Keep on flipnoting and the best of luck with your entries.
