This can lead to the regulator becoming cold enough that the internal components freeze, or even so cold that the gas begins turning to liquid while flowing through the regulator. The common solution for this is to route engine coolant through channels in the regulator, preventing it from freezing.
    Another real-world application of the ideal gas law is the design and regulation of pressure vessels to accommodate temperature changes. A common industrial gas cylinder may be filled up to 3000 psi or more. If the cylinder is heated after being filled, it may exceed this pressure by a large margin.
